Mike has over 33 years’ experience in marketing, he joined BT in 1984 as a graduate in retail / consumer marketing, and then moved into marketing to the small business sector. In 1992 he moved to London to manage BT’s Business Events team for London and South East in 1992. In 1995 he took over the role of managing and developing BT’s largest business relationship programme (The Information Exchange) making many improvements and enhancements to it. In 1998 he was asked to take on a role in the newly formed public sector marketing team, and in 2004 took over as the Head of the Central Government and Police Marketing teams.
During his time in BT he has lead on many major marketing initiatives; setting up and managing the BT and Cisco joint funded Connected Police programme; developing the marketing programme that supported BT’s Public Services Network programme, and managing many major marketing activities in the public sector. He also led on developing formal market support for major bids into customer organisations such as the Met Police, the DWP, the Environment Agency, He also led on the executive summary content for BT’s bid to be the IT provider for the London 2012 Olympics. He holds a BA degree in Business Studies with an honours in marketing, and holds the Chartered institute of Marketing diploma. He joined Unisys in April 2018 as Public Sector Marketing Lead, EMEA.
