Greg Thomas is a solution executive at Unisys Asia Pacific based in Wellington, New Zealand. He is a successful professional with more than 30 years’ experience in the IT industry covering various facets including operations, system administration, architecture, software design/development and for the past 20 years has been presales solutioning across a variety of technologies.

Greg is a skilled technologist with strong financial and commercial acumen, working as an advocate to solve customer challenges in a mutually beneficial way. He is an effective communicator who takes the time to understand the challenges to be solved and uses his experience to design a solution and effectively communicate it to all levels of an organisation in easy-to-understand ways. Greg is comfortable working in a consulting capacity, or designing solutions in an Enterprise Architect capacity, either leading a team, or supporting a team. He considers all aspects of the solutions including how it achieves the outcome required, the financial structure, commercial terms, risks and schedule to achieve the desired results. Ultimately, Greg’s mission is to be recognised as a trusted advisor by customers and colleagues alike, he strives to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction with the solutions proposed in a manner that addresses both immediate requirements with an eye on the future roadmap.

Greg is passionate in promoting automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning to address day-to-day operational challenges and improve the reliability and consistency of service to the end customers.

Greg actively supports opportunities across Asia Pacific, including Australia, Japan, China, Malaysia, Philippines and New Zealand. He has successfully led the solutioning activities for many large and complex new logo and expansion deals in the Defence, Government, Financial and Telco sectors across the region.
