Unisys Cargo User Group Global Meeting to Showcase Cargo Innovations, Promote Industry Discussion and Innovation

Did you know that Unisys logistics solutions are used by carriers that move more than 30 percent of the world’s air cargo?  These leading cargo carriers collaborate via the Unisys Cargo User Group (UCUG).

This group of clients works closely with Unisys to discuss industry issues and to identify and prioritize enhancements and upgrades to the Unisys services. Unisys and UCUG members have worked with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for more than 20 years on initiatives such as e-Freight, Cargo 2000 and XML messaging, and with customs and security agencies to help carriers develop best practices and remain compliant with constantly-changing regulations.

The next UCUG global meeting will take place 28 – 29 October 2014 in Minneapolis, U.S. and is open to all air cargo carriers. To register email  Logistics@Unisys.com

It will include demonstrations and presentations of the latest innovations in the company’s cargo offerings – many of which are the result of input from members of UCUG including:

  • A preview of the next generation of the Unisys Logistics Management System being developed in collaboration with TravelSky, known as LMS Next Generation (LMS NG).  Participants will discuss implementation of LMS-NG, via a Software-as-a-Service model or as a licensed product.
  • A demonstration of the innovative new Cargo Revenue Accounting system and associated business process outsourcing services and analytics that give new levels of visibility into financial information from booking through to delivery and invoicing.
  • UCUG member carriers will share their plans and the meeting will include an open discussion about changing industry requirements such as e-Freight which can be addressed though 2015 enhancements using community funds.
