Hard to believe it’s been almost a month since the Unisys Universe Conference. On behalf of Unisys, I’d like to thank all of the companies, guest speakers, and most importantly our valued clients who helped make this event a success!
While the event has already passed, looking back on it can give us some great insight into the future of Unisys and new technologies. Here’s a recap of some of the highlights from the conference:
Unisys CTO Jim Thompson spoke about the exciting new platform that he called “the future of computing for Unisys.” Forward!, a new Unisys product, is an elastic fabric-based environment in which the latest technologies can be easily integrated.
It is always a pleasure to hear from Unisys Chief Information Security Officer, Dave Frymier. And, as someone whose job is security, Dave certainly understands what an impact cyber security has had on our industry. At the conference, he took us back – way back – discussing how cybersecurity has evolved since the time of German U-boats. As technology continues to grow, the importance of cybersecurity is at an all-time high, and it is fascinating to think of where it will go next.
It was an absolute honor to have Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak, as the keynote speaker. From what it takes to become a successful high-tech professional to appearing on “Dancing with the Stars,” Steve shared his wisdom on what it takes to be an innovator. He left us with this: Think outside the box to come up with new methods and procedures. And, if you really want to think outside the box, there’s no better place to do it than the shower – at least that’s where Steve says he gets his best ideas!
Overall, the conference was a huge success and a wonderful learning experience. If you want to relive some of the highlights check out clips from our speakers and more. We are already looking “Forward!” to next year’s event!
