Looking Forward to Unisys Universe!

I’ve had the pleasure of planning the Unisys Universe Conference for the past few months now and I’m thrilled that the event will be taking place in less than two weeks.

This year, we’ve partnered with UNITE Annual Conference, a Unisys user community, to put together a single event for Unisys partners and customers at the Oak Brooks Hills Marriott Resort in Chicago from September 9-12.

During the conference, attendees will have access to a variety of interesting technical and non-technical sessions, meet-and-greet events, demos and even a night of dining and networking at the Museum of Science and Industry.

We’re splitting up the agenda into three focus areas:

  • ClearPath Technical Exchanges. Executive decision-makers value the ClearPath Technical Exchanges as opportunities to discuss plans and ideas for Unisys ClearPath systems and software. Participants collaborate on technical issues, implementation challenges, and ideas for future technologies.
  • Global Industry Focused Workshops. Technical professionals and business leaders meet for industry-based workshops to discuss advances, opportunities, and improvements for strategic Unisys offerings.
  • Technical Track Sessions. More than 50 targeted sessions are dedicated to certification training, technology updates, software utilization, case studies, and best practices.

Another one of the most exciting features of this year’s conference is an address by one of the most influential pioneers in the technology industry, Steve Wozniak, who will give the keynote. Unisys Chairman and CEO Ed Coleman will also be speaking, as well as Jim Shelton, Chairman of the UNITE Board of Directors; Thomas Stanley, VP of Global Alliances and Partner Sales at NetApp; and Hugues Meyrath, VP of Product Management and Business Development at EMC. You can see the complete Unisys Universe! agenda to get a detailed view of the rest of the sessions.

So there you have it – an overview of Universe. See you there soon! If you aren’t able to attend but would still like to follow along with event activities, make sure to follow us on Twitter at @unisyscorp and check out the #uni13 hashtag.
