NEWS ANCHOR

Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt our program to bring you the latest on a developing story.  We now go to Joe Secure, an IT Security professional, for more details.  Joe, can you describe the situation you are encountering?

JOE SECURE

It is pandemonium here, no one seems to be able to tell fact from fiction.  We know we are under attack, but only this time it is not the brick and mortar of our cities which are under fire, it is the space between the spaces where the majority of us now live – cyberspace.  It is where banking is done, trade secrets are kept, and communications are performed.  This time the adversary is not Martians from outer space, but a faceless foe sitting behind a keyboard, bathed in the dim light of a computer monitor.

NEWS ANCHOR

What are authorities trying to do about this situation?

JOE SECURE

The authorities are doing their best to keep up with the mounting threats, but we are being told, the best thing people can do right now is stay informed and take control of their own situation.

NEWS ANCHOR

A lot of companies are faced with an ever daunting task of securely managing their data in light of all these recent security concerns.  What sort of solutions are you seeing that can make this situation better?  How can companies take control of this chaotic situation?

JOE SECURE

One of the companies really making waves in this area is Unisys, a global IT solutions company.  Their new ClearPath system releases provide new robust solutions allowing companies to efficiently and securely fight these threats.

NEWS ANCHOR

What makes these new releases better?

JOE SECURE

These new releases bring an array of products which allow companies to manage their environments and users.  One of them found on the ClearPath OS 2200 platform, Apex, now lets the administrators stay in control, stay secure, and stay informed on what is happening on their system.

NEWS ANCHOR

That sounds like a good step forward, how are they doing it?

JOE SECURE

Apex allows you to generate a wide array of reports designed to monitor the system.  Base on this information, you can make adjustments to the system or to individual users.  Knowledge is power.

NEWS ANCHOR

What about the ClearPath MCP servers?  I can think of a few banks and other businesses that utilize those servers – what can those users look for?

JOE SECURE

Well, for industries that places information security and privacy at the forefront, protecting data with the strongest available standards helps build confidence that the data is safe and secure.  The latest ClearPath MCP release includes Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2, the highest level of Transport Layer Security, which protects against vulnerabilities in SSL and lower TLS levels.  This includes additional cipher suites which the businesses can use to safeguard their data.

NEWS ANCHOR

That all sounds very promising, but how are we supposed to trust our security to a bunch of new features in a brand new software release?

JOE SECURE

ClearPath systems have been among the leaders in providing secure systems for decades.  They feature some of the most reliable transaction processing and data safeguards against programming errors or unforeseen external failures in the marketplace today.  The newest ClearPath systems have evolved into a new fabric-based structure that incorporates the same secure ClearPath architecture past systems have relied on, while utilizing secure partitioning (s-Par ®) and adding further security features such as Unisys StealthTM.

NEWS ANCHOR

There seems to be a new threat making news every week – what advice can you give to our viewers who are trying to keep up with the threats?

JOE SECURE

Take a look at your existing infrastructure and processes and ask yourself if you have the tools and information to protect and respond to threats if they occur.  Do you have a proven architecture such as the one ClearPath provides?  Is it backed by service support professionals who will work with you to ensure your needs are met?  Remember, knowledge is power!
