Unisys/Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Program Director
Anthony Wilson is the Unisys/Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Program Director. In this role he leads the Unisys team providing IT and cybersecurity support to the Invictus Games Sydney 2018. In this event for wounded, injured and ill service men and women, both active duty and veterans, 500 competitors from 18 nations take part in 11 medal sports.
He previously led the Cloud and Infrastructure Services team for Asia Pacific where he ensured Unisys Asia Pacific delivered standardised CIS offerings under the new global operating model to help clients realize the vision of a software defined enterprise.
He has worked with commercial and government organisations including Dell, EMC, Apple, Lenovo, IBM, Queensland TAFE, Microsoft, BT, Australian Department of Immigration & Border Protection, Vodafone, McDonald’s, Cathay Pacific, Australian National Audit Office and Molex.
Based in Melbourne, Anthony is an accomplished IT professional with more than 25 years’ experience spanning a diverse range of customers and services including customer management, service management, managed services outsourcing (including service desk, field services, enterprise and data centre), mission critical systems, service delivery, financial management, solution architecture and strategic consulting.
Anthony joined Unisys in 1987 as a mainframe specialist before moving into pre-sales architecture for enterprise and networking solutions; Anthony then spent a successful four years in account management and sales managing major local and state government accounts.
Anthony subsequently took on a strategic role as the Field Services Director ANZ charged with bringing cultural change to open systems support, and went on to lead the successful transition and implementation of one of Unisys largest government outsourcing engagements – the Australian Department of Defence’s Regional Information & Communications Technology.
