Before I joined Unisys, I used to work for the UK Defence and Security firm QinetiQ where I was responsible for the development of their security business.
My main career has been within the UK Armed Forces where my 28-year career provided a wide array of challenges, both in the Field Army, in Counter Terrorism and in security policy making in the UK Ministry of Defence. It has provided me with a very broad background in security.
My first job when I left the Forces was to run a UK dot.com that provided real-time intelligence to dot.com users, providing me with unbeatable experience in how companies can survive in a networked world as well as understanding what the drivers are that run a successful information-dependent company.
I’ve been fortunate in appearing on TV and radio as well as at many conferences around the world, trying to explain the dangers of the new, information-dependent world and how to avoid the dangers as well as enjoy the benefits.
I hope you enjoy my Unisys blogs.
