Bill Maclean

I’m Bill Maclean, Vice President of ClearPath and AB Suite Business at Unisys Corporation. I’m responsible for the worldwide portfolio management and marketing for Unisys ClearPath mainframe business and related AB Suite application development technology.

I’m the go-to guy for anything and everything related to mainframe systems and software, advanced development technologies, and telephony messaging technology.

In my role, I set priorities for R&D budgets and establish product pricing for ClearPath and AB Suite. I oversee development of marketing materials and internal product training, and maintain a direct interface with field sales management.

Other positions I’ve held at Unisys include Vice President of Japan Business Operations, Vice President of Engineering Program Management, and Vice President of Open Systems Platforms.

I’m passionate about making sure that our ClearPath mainframes are out in front of clients’ needs. Today’s mainframe environments can’t be confined to data centers. They need to extend out to where mobile workers are, supporting transactions on-the-go. We’ve made it a priority to build those capabilities into our ClearPath servers to provide what we believe is the most modern, secure, open mainframe platform on the market. We want to help ClearPath clients capitalize on the consumerization of IT while extending their long-term investments in strategic applications and IT infrastructure.
