One of the key findings in our recent Consumerization of IT research conducted by IDC and sponsored by Unisys has been the widening “Consumerization Gap” between information workers (or iworkers) who are bringing personally-owned devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops to work and the enterprise IT departments who need to support and manage these devices. For the enterprise application portfolio manager, we believe the time is ripe to re-visit the application portfolio and seek out candidates for mobile enablement from a business perspective.
