I’m Steve Vinsik, Vice President, Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Unisys Federal Systems. I’m responsible for strategic leadership, practice development, and service delivery. The CIP practice supports numerous clients in the government, transportation, and financial services sectors globally.

I’ve spent more than 15 years leading field operations teams that conduct research and development, application development, integration and information security programs. These span biometric and surveillance technology integration, security architecture, physical and logical security convergence, and information systems domains.

Prior to this assignment, I served as Chief Architect for Integrated Security Programs where I directed the engineering of surveillance systems and biometrics on the SBInet program and served as Chief Engineer on airport security projects. I deployed biometric, video surveillance, credentialing, cargo security, and access control systems at more than 20 airports through a series of TSA-funded technology test and evaluation programs.

I’m also a member of several organizations in the field of biometrics, am the Unisys representative and Secretary for BioAPI, and have served as a U.S. delegate to the ISO SC37 group on Biometrics.
