There’s one person to talk to if you want to know where Intel thinks technology is going. That person is David Buchholz, a thought leader and longtime IT Technical Engineer for Intel. His team examines where technologies, trends, and influences are taking people and organizations in the coming months and years.

One of the big movements that Dave has been thinking a lot about is device independent mobility. And it’s about more than just being mobile. It deals with all the technologies that workers carry around with them, and how they want and need to move information between them.

Dave was good enough to give us some time to talk about what device independent mobility is, why it’s important, how it’s already starting to affect the enterprise, and where he sees it taking us. Dave also spent some time talking about the impact of consumerization, including a unique point of view where he sees the tables being turned. He calls that the enterprization of the consumer.

You can listen to the interview online in the player below, or download it to your desktop or mp3 player. Interested in reading more about the work that Buchholz and his team are doing? Head over to Intel’s website to thumb through consumerization of IT whitepapers and research.
