Will the burgeoning trend of consumerization of IT become a liability or competitive advantage for your organization?
IT radars ‘lit up’ when Unisys announced the results of an IDC study it commissioned to provide the first objective data on the pervasiveness of consumer-powered IT. It was a survey of 2,800 respondents in organizations with 500 or more employees, and a related survey of 650 IT professionals.
The research indicates that the trend is hitting the workplace faster than anyone thought, and will have a significant impact on how organizations do business in nearly every critical dimension over the next few years.
